Basketball Recap: Larned Takes a Loss

Larned's tournament run continued when they took on Little River on Tuesday. The Larned Indians fell just short of the Little River Redskins by a score of 45-43. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Little River to victory were Jaxson Konen and Logan Renken. Konen almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, while Renken posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Those nine boards gave Konen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Raleigh, who earned five points.

Larned now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Little River, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Larned will square off against Nickerson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Larned is facing Nickerson at the right time seeing as Nickerson is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Little River, they will take on Central Plains at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Little River will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
