Basketball Recap: Piedmont Gets the Win

Piedmont won the last time they faced Glencoe and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Piedmont Bulldogs pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Glencoe Yellowjackets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Glencoe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kinlee Montgomery posted 20 points. Montgomery is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alli Jo Amos, who had nine points and eight rebounds.

Piedmont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Glencoe, they dropped their record down to 15-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Piedmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-24 loss against Jacksonville on the 25th. As for Glencoe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-34 win against Westbrook Christian on the 24th.
