Volleyball Game Preview: Fresno Christian Eagles vs. Yosemite Badgers

Fresno Christian has won three straight games at home, while Yosemite has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Badgers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Fresno Christian took on Liberty on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 26-24, 25-17.

Fresno Christian can attribute much of their success to Tatum Mcquown, who had 17 assists and nine digs, and Danielle Arndt, who had 14 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Mcquown has posted over her last six contests.

Meanwhile, Yosemite made easy work of Fowler on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-21.

Fresno Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-17. As for Yosemite, their victory bumped their record up to 27-10-1.

Fresno Christian skirted past Yosemite 3-2 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Badgers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
