Volleyball Recap: Prairie View Takes a Loss

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Osawatomie Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss two weeks ago.

While Prairie View had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18.

Osawatomie found their leader in sophomore Avaya O'Brien, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Osawatomie, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 10-20 record.

Coincidentally, Prairie View and Osawatomie will both be playing Iola the next time they take the court. The Buffalos will host the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
