Recap: Bloomington Purple Raiders vs. Champaign Central Maroons
The Bloomington Purple Raiders posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Champaign Central as Bloomington made off with a 64-39 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Bloomington has posted against Champaign Central since December 15, 2016.
Bloomington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sosi Dadekian led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dadekian has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tina Lenard, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
The win (which was Bloomington's third in a row) raised their record to 9-13. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.33 points. As for Champaign Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Bloomington will head out on the road to square off against Manual at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Champaign Central, they will be playing at home against Richwoods at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richwoods is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
