Basketball Game Preview: Cranston East Thunderbolts vs. Middletown Islanders

The Cranston East Thunderbolts will take on the Middletown Islanders at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cranston East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Cranston East turned things around against Johnston on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-46 victory over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Middletown made off with a 47-46 win over Tiverton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Islanders.

Middletown's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Cranston East, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Cranston East was able to grind out a solid victory over Middletown in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, winning 69-60. Does Cranston East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Middletown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
