Recap: Los Molinos Bulldogs vs. Hamilton Braves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Biggs, the Los Molinos Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Hamilton. This was payback for Los Molinos, who suffered a 44-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Karson Fox, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cantonwine, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Hamilton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayden Strong, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Strong is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryant Odom, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Los Molinos is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Hamilton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Molinos will take on Maxwell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maxwell is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Hamilton, they will head out on the road to challenge CORE Butte at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. CORE Butte is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
