Baseball Recap: Leonardtown Extends Winning Streak to Three

Leonardtown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the North Point Eagles 8-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Leonardtown's record now sits at 12-4. As for North Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Leonardtown is set to face off against their familiar foe Chopticon on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 4, the Braves 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Point will take on rival St. Charles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
