Football Recap: Arianna Perry and Aubrey Gisbert Pace South Miami Defense

South Miami was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The game between the South Miami Cobras and the American Patriots didn't end well, with the South Miami Cobras falling 32-13. The Cobras were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

South Miami didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Arianna Perry and Aubrey Gisbert. Gisbert also rushed for 171 rushing yards, which is notable because South Miami is 2-1 when she posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

South Miami's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for American, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Looking ahead, South Miami will take on North Miami at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. American will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Miami Springs at 3:30 p.m. on April 1st.
