Baseball Recap: Parkville Victorious

Parkville came out on top against Western Tech & Environmental Science on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wolverines 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 back in March.

Collin Cuddy looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nick Rodriguez was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Parkville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

Parkville's record now sits at 9-5. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coming up, Parkville will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Perry Hall at 4:00 p.m. Western Tech & Environmental Science has already played their next game (against Towson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
