Soccer Game Preview: Murrieta Mesa vs. Murrieta Valley

The Murrieta Mesa Rams will square off against the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, neither Murrieta Mesa nor Chaparral could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Murrieta Valley's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Great Oak by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Nighthawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 748th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 141st).

With that draw, Murrieta Mesa's record moves to 3-7-3. As for Murrieta Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1.

Murrieta Mesa came up short against Murrieta Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 4-2. Can Murrieta Mesa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
