Softball Recap: Prep Charter Extends Winning Streak to Ten

It's playoff time, and Prep Charter had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Masterman 7-5. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Huskies have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The win keeps Prep Charter at an undefeated 9-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Masterman, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Prep Charter will head out to face off against Philadelphia Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.91 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of. Masterman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
