Volleyball Recap: Omaha North Takes a Loss

Omaha North suffered their biggest defeat since September 8th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Millard South Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-11.

When it comes to explaining why Omaha North lost, don't look at Carissa Lor. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and one assist. Lor is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Tamya Bush also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Omaha North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Millard South, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 13-4.

Coming up, Omaha North will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bryan at 4:00 p.m. As for Millard South, they will head out to challenge Elkhorn North at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
