Baseball Recap: McKinleyville Takes a Loss

McKinleyville lost against Del Norte back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 5-2 to the Warriors. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McKinleyville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe Forbes, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Ruger Baxter also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

McKinleyville's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Del Norte, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McKinleyville beat Del Norte by a score of 13-0 later that day.
