Baseball Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Comes Up Short

Bishop Timon-St. Jude and St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bishop Timon-St. Jude had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 5-3. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Kopacz, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Kopacz has launched this season. Ian Wasielewski was another, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, the win got them back to even at 11-11-1.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, they will challenge Nichols at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Marauders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
