Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benicia Panthers.

Jasen Womack was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Ryan Hubbard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Benicia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Del Oro at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Benicia, they will face off against Campolindo at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
