Softball Game Preview: Thorp Cardinals vs. Bloomer Blackhawks

The Thorp Cardinals will square off against the Bloomer Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Thorp got the win against Regis by a conclusive 18-4. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bloomer posted their closest victory since April 30, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past Stanley-Boyd 4-3.

Thorp's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Bloomer, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Everything went Thorp's way against Bloomer when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Thorp made off with a 7-1 victory. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blackhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
