Soccer Game Preview: Baylor vs. Bearden

The Baylor Red Raiders will square off against the Bearden Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Baylor's victory against Girls Preparatory School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Raiders never let the Bruisers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. Given Baylor's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Girls Preparatory School are ranked 29th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bearden came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Red Rebels 6-0. Considering Bearden have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Baylor's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-1. As for Bearden, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-1.
