Basketball Recap: Terrance Franklin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Webster over Morrison

After flying high against Epic Charter on Friday, Webster came back down to earth. The Webster Warriors fell 66-57 to the Morrison Wildcats on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Wildcats are ranked 143rd).

Webster lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Terrance Franklin, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those 19 points gave Franklin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Kimble, who posted 21 points.

Webster's record now sits at 8-11. As for Morrison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Webster will take on Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Morrison has already played their next contest (against Tonkawa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
