The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Watertown nor Beaver River made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Cyclones sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Beavers. For the Cyclones, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Beavers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
The victory got Watertown back to even at 4-4. As for Beaver River, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Looking ahead, Watertown will be playing at home against Indian River at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Beaver River, they will challenge Bishop Ludden at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
