Soccer Game Preview: Winnisquam vs. Stevens

Winnisquam hasn't had much luck against Stevens recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bears will face off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bears on Tuesday. Winnisquam and Newfound Regional finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Stevens entered their matchup against Fall Mountain on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cardinals fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.

With that draw, Winnisquam's record moves to 4-8-2. As for Stevens, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-4 and their overall record down to 5-2-7.

Winnisquam came up short against Stevens in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
