Baseball Recap: Woodburn Comes Up Short

Woodburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Crescent Valley Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on Wednesday.

Woodburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Asa Cash, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Woodburn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Crescent Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Woodburn will challenge rival McKay at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Crescent Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
