Softball Recap: Scott City Takes a Loss

Scott City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ste. Genevieve Dragons, falling 14-1. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Scott City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Huckstep, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Scott City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Ste. Genevieve, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Scott City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-6 win against Valle Catholic on the 5th. As for Ste. Genevieve, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-7 loss against Clearwater on the 5th.
