Softball Recap: Cherokee Chiefs vs. Rancocas Valley Red Devils
Cherokee was the 6-1 winner over Rancocas Valley when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chiefs came up short against the Red Devils on Tuesday, falling 9-3. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kasey McNee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Allison Cunane was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rancocas Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cherokee will head out to challenge Hammonton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
