Softball Recap: Sand Rock Beats Southside for Their Third Straight Victory

Sand Rock proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Southside Panthers 5-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matches in a row.

Sand Rock pushed their record up to 6-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Sand Rock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Pisgah on the 4th. As for Southside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-3 loss against Cherokee County on the 5th.
