Baseball Recap: Garrard County's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak at Home

Garrard County had lost eight games at home, but after bumping their record up to 8-16 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Rockcastle County Rockets 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Lions have posted since March 21st.

Garrard County's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaydon Noe, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave Noe a new career-high.

As for Rockcastle County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Garrard County: they've now lost four in a row.

On Rockcastle County's side, Zeke Fain made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoenix Pittman, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrard County will head out to square off against Madison Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockcastle County, they will venture away from home to take on Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
