            Baseball Recap: Nativity BVM Green Wave vs. Minersville Battlin' Miners        
        
		
        
        
            Nativity BVM was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  4-1 to the Minersville Battlin' Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Battlin' Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  4-1  back in March.
 Nativity BVM saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  STEPHEN KARINCH, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  run.
Nativity BVM's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Minersville,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-6.
 Looking ahead, Nativity BVM will welcome Mahanoy Area  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Golden Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.58  runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Minersville, they will head out to  square off against Schuylkill Haven  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Hurricanes will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something the Battlin' Miners surely won't give up without a fight.
