Basketball Recap: Randleman Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

On Thursday, the Randleman Tigers were able to grind out a solid win over the Southern Guilford Storm, taking the game 48-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Randleman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gracie Beane out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Bella Byman was another key player, going 9 of 18 on her way to 19 points and six steals.

Southern Guilford lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Charlee Slaughter, who posted six points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyric Horton-Rogers, who had six points.

Randleman pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southern Guilford, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Randleman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 38-34 defeat against Lexington on the 6th. As for Southern Guilford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-30 loss against Rockingham County on the 10th.
