Basketball Game Preview: Orange Beach Makos vs. Gulf Shores Dolphins

The Orange Beach Makos will head out on the road to square off against the Gulf Shores Dolphins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Orange Beach came up short against UMS-Wright Prep and fell 39-32. The Makos haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Gulf Shores was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 43-39 to Blount. The game marked the Dolphins' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Orange Beach now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Gulf Shores, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Orange Beach ended up a good deal behind Gulf Shores in their previous meeting back in November, losing 53-39. Can Orange Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
