Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grandview). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Vista PEAK Prep Bison 52-0. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolves had established a 45-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grandview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Kirkpatrick, who picked up 72 receiving yards and three scores, and also threw for 27 yards and one TD. Gabriella Austin got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Grandview didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Vista PEAK Prep to a completion percentage of just 45.5%. Grandview has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.61 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.61 in their last three games.

Grandview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Brooke Sullivan led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. Austin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was the third in a row for Grandview, bringing their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Grandview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-7 win against ThunderRidge on the 16th. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will venture away from home to square off against Denver East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
