Souhegan came tearing into Thursday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Milford Spartans a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Sabers, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Souhegan pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Milford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Souhegan has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Pelham on the 30th. Milford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
