Preview: Stuart Hall Dragons vs. North Cross Raiders
Stuart Hall has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the North Cross Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Stuart Hall didn't have too much trouble with The Covenant on the road as they won 63-44. Given Stuart Hall's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while The Covenant is ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, North Cross fought the good fight in their overtime match against Roanoke Catholic on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 70-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (60), North Cross still had to take the loss.
Stuart Hall is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for North Cross, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7.
