Football Game Preview: Newman Smith Trojans vs. Molina Jaguars + How To Watch

The Newman Smith Trojans will challenge the Molina Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Newman Smith will be strutting in after a win while Molina will be coming in after a loss.

Newman Smith's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Sunset, posting a 69-0 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Newman Smith's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gianfranco Fuentes, who rushed for 94 yards and two TDs on only six carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Fuentes a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Zion Williams, who rushed for 49 yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Molina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 57-7 loss at the hands of Creekview.

Newman Smith's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Molina, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
