Soccer Recap: East Columbus Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wallace-Rose Hill, East Columbus was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Lakewood Leopards get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Gators as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

East Columbus' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lakewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Columbus will take on Pender at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Pender their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Lakewood, they will head out to face off against Lejeune at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
