Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Linfield Christian's Winning Streak

After a string of five wins, Linfield Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Ontario Christian Knights. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

Linfield Christian's offense was headlined by Aubrey Yanover and Paige Boyer, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Noelle Hong and her 26 assists. Mia Delacruz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Linfield Christian's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Ontario Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

Coincidentally, Linfield Christian and Ontario Christian will both be playing Woodcrest Christian the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
