Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Independence). They blew past the Centennial Cougars 65-40 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Independence will head out to take on Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will be playing at home against Ravenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
