Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Sacramento Adventist Capitals 80-23. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-10.

Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sacramento Adventist, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cristo Rey will challenge John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Sacramento Adventist, they will face off against Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
