Alisal is 1-7 against North Monterey County since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Trojans will host the Condors at 4:30 p.m. Alisal will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Nevaeh Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Iliana Cruz was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ameryse Thatcher, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Alisal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.
North Monterey County had taken Soledad down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Condors took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aztecs. The Condors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Josslyn Gutierrez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and one double. Samantha Scharton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
North Monterey County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Alisal, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
North Monterey County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Alisal has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for North Monterey County, though, as they've been averaging 14.1 hits. Given Alisal's sizable advantage in that area, the Condors will need to find a way to close that gap.
