Volleyball Recap: Romeoville Takes a Loss

Romeoville lost against Minooka back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Cei'Montay Hopkins paced Romeoville's offense, picking up eight kills. Hopkins got some help from Szymon Rutkowski and his 12 assists.

Romeoville's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Minooka, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Romeoville will challenge Plainfield North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Minooka, they will face off against Joliet West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
