Baseball Recap: Griffith Comes Up Short

Griffith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Griffith saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Quillin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Griffith's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

While Griffith had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
