Basketball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

After flying high against Olympic last Friday, Kingston came back down to earth. The Kingston Buccaneers fell 61-48 to the Port Angeles Roughriders on Tuesday. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Roughriders from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Kingston has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points per game. As for Port Angeles, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingston will welcome Sequim at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Port Angeles, they will host North Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Port Angeles has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
