Volleyball Recap: Iroquois West Takes a Loss

Iroquois West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Oakwood Comets. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Comets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Iroquois West was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 26-24.

Kendyl Rogers was a one-woman wrecking crew For Oakwood. as she had 16 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Rogers has posted since back in September. Ashtyn Dailey was another key player, getting ten assists and eight digs.

Iroquois West's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Oakwood, with the victory, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Iroquois West will square off against rival Milford at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Oakwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Salt Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
