Football Recap: Adairsville Comes Up Short on the Road Against Allatoona + How To Watch

Adairsville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Allatoona Buccaneers on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Even if they lost, Adairsville's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Matthew Cook, Gatlin Fair, and Kj Smith, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Ethan Corpus was nothing short of spectacular for Allatoona: he rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Corpus was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.

Coming up, Adairsville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pepperell at 7:30 p.m. As for Allatoona, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
