Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Leigh

Santa Teresa came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Leigh, but Cooper Smith wouldn't allow it. The Leigh Longhorns managed a 70-64 win over the Santa Teresa Saints on Friday thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Leigh and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Santa Teresa, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Leigh will head out to face off against Milpitas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leigh is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season. Santa Teresa will take on Greenfield in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Santa Teresa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
