Basketball Recap: Monterey's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Monterey was feeling good fresh off their 70-40 takedown of Eastern Hills on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Plainsmen fell 60-50 to the Denton Broncos on Friday. The loss was the Plainsmen's first of the season.

Denton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Sheats, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lojok Loliwa, who put up 11 points.

Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Denton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Monterey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-41 defeat against North Mesquite on the 21st. As for Denton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-46 loss against Brandeis on the 21st.
