With a playoff win on the line, Bob Jones rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Thompson Warriors, sneaking past 7-6. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

Bob Jones has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Thompson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 30-15.

Looking ahead, Bob Jones will take on Hewitt-Trussville on Friday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Thompson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
