Football Game Preview: Kindred Vikings vs. Wahpeton Huskies

The Kindred Vikings will face off against the Wahpeton Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kindred has seven straight wins, Wahpeton has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kindred is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: Grand Forks Central, who was ranked 20th at the time (Kindred was ranked second). The Vikings blew past the Knights 27-7 on Friday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wahpeton was beaten by Red River 55-26 on Friday.

Kindred's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Wahpeton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Kindred against Wahpeton in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, as the team secured a 50-12 win. In that contest, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 30-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
