Volleyball Game Preview: Gallup Bengals vs. Aztec Tigers + How To Watch

The Gallup Bengals will head out on the road to square off against the Aztec Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gallup will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each matchup than the last.

Gallup took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Shiprock, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bengals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chieftains on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bengals as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Aztec was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Kirtland Central.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-18, 25-17.

Aztec's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Gallup, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-9.

Gallup took their victory against Aztec when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bengals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
