Basketball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Loss

Lakeland suffered their biggest loss since November 26, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 61-38 to the Clarkston Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Wolves are ranked 47th).

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Clarkston, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Coming up, Lakeland will be taking part in a tournament against Walled Lake Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarkston, they will head out to take on Avondale at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Avondale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
