Volleyball Game Preview: Refugio Bobcats vs. Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats

Refugio hasn't had much luck against Skidmore-Tynan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:05 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Refugio made easy work of Woodsboro and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-18.

Refugio's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'Zae-Lynne Lewis led the charge by getting 15 digs and one block. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Cedie Wills was another key player, getting 16 digs, three aces, and one block.

Meanwhile, Skidmore-Tynan posted their closest win since August 23rd on Tuesday. They skirted past Freer 3-2.

Skidmore-Tynan's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Refugio, their win bumped their record up to 17-15.
